Nice box, but what a bore!Sep 07, 2005

I was so very excited receiving this game. The metal box is wonderfull, presentation lovely... But beside it's good look, the game is a real bore. Even for a "desperate housewifes fan", no fun is possible. The thing must had been designed too fast, and not tried at all before launching. One can play hours (and end) whihout ever pick a "secret card". So very frustrating. My advice, stick to the show and skip the game.

All hyped up for nothing...Dec 26, 2005
By Michelle Hall I got this game as a gift for my sister and was extremely excited to play it with her (we are both huge fans of the show). We were extremely disappointed. A lot of the game has nothing to do with the show whatsoever. I think we could have probably come up with a better game ourselves. We actually scrapped the rules and made up our own game using the trivia cards. Unfortunately it wasn't much more fun. Unless someone is handing this game out for free, don't waste your time. Don't waste your money either!

Only the writer knows the answers to these questions!!!Jun 20, 2007

Most trivia games offer you a hope of winning. After 4 cards, it became painfully obvious that not even the actors on the show would know the answers to these questions! Sample question: "Who is the cop who pulls Lynette over because the kids aren't wearing seatbelts?" Answer: "Officer Hayes."
And if that's not bad enough, the "Dirty Laundry" cards have nothing to do with the show, and little chance of ever guessing, even once all the clues are revealed. This game is best played as a drinking game, and even then only if you have a good sense of humor and REALLY want to get drunk for missing the correct answers.
This review is a group effort of 6 people. We all LOVE the show and *thought* we were well-versed in the minuscule details, but obviously we were wrong. Who knew "What is the name of the collapsed jogger that Mrs. Huber dumped in Bree's bushes?" (Answer: Victor)
Even for aficionados of the show, this game is difficult at best. Bring on the GENIUS edition of Trivial Pursuit (which we suck at) instead!

HOGWASH!Jul 03, 2006

O.k., i see some negative reviews here. Nowhere else. But, i do see them here.
It's hard for me to belive they and I played the same game!
If you are a FAN of the show for real, these questions are not that hard! Besides, they are supposed to be minor challenges. Otherwise, what kind of a game would this be? It's a simple concept. Each player has a secret. The other players do every underhanded little thing they can to disclose the secret. The last player standing is the winner. You have some dice, some cards, A playboard with a 'shovel' for a spinner, and a secret.
The gametime for 4 players is usually between 40-60 minutes. Depending mostly on familiarity with the show. 5 questions and answers on each card and a wide variation of clues to uncover. Me and my friends, well, my WIFE'S friends ;-), LOVE this game. We've played it a lot. It's not dull. I can only see it to be dull if you're not a REAL fan of the show! If you are, this will be a real treat. Enjoy!

Complete waste of time, money and energyJan 01, 2006
By Bill B This is the most inane game I have ever played. And I have played some real losers. All four of us are avid "Housewives" fans, and all of us hated the game. The questions are so impossibly hard it is unreal, the "secrets" are pointless, have little or nothing to do with the game, and are also impossibly hard. Whoever came up with this game to bilk us all out of dollars should be totally ashamed of themselves. ABC--SHAME on you for lending your name to this game. We will tell EVERYONE we know to avoid this game like the plague. RUN AWAY!!!!!!
