I purchased this toy as a duplicate for one given to my son during a stay at the Four Seasons. He's not shown a preference for any toy until this one. Now I have a backup so when one is dirty, the other can be washed without causing any disruption. This dog washes well, is fun to play with and stands up to the "abuse" a 19-month-old dishes out!

"happy snacking"
All three of my children love this dog. My three year old received one of these while she was in the hospital when she was 1 month old. My 21 month old twins kept taking this dog from her so I ordered 2 more. This is the only stufffed animal that they use. All 3 will carry it around the house and also sleep with it. We had to order more because one of my daughter's friends wanted one too!

Soft & Cuddly, great for girls and boysJun 02, 2009

This was the first stuffed animal my daughter expressed interest in. She picked it out when she was 2 months old and was starting daycare. I wanted to her to have a familiar security object since she would no longer be with me all day long, and this dog has provided her security ever since. He is soft, cuddly, and washes well. The contrast of the black and white fur is also great for young babies.
Edited to add:
My daughter is now 2 1/2 years old, and she still loves this toy. She discovered all of our "back-ups," and likes to play "puppy pile-up" with them. After many washes in the washer, it is as soft as it was in the beginning. I can see that this simple puppy dog has a future in helping her as she learns to count, since it has many spots to be counted.

I gave my 3 year old grandson this Dotters-dog that I received at a cancer benefit - and he loved it. It became his best friend and he carried it everywhere. My daughter was so afraid it would get lost at some point since he wouldn't leave the house without it and couldn't sleep unless he had his arm around it's neck, so I started looking for a "replacement" should one be necessary. This was a life-saver and although he hasn't been called into duty yet, he's tucked away just in case the original becomes unusable or shows up missing. Thank you.

My daughter loves this dog. He did have a small hole when we received him, but I just sewed him back up. He is machine washable which is great too.
