3Word Association & Bluffing Game, Good for PartiesSep 18, 2009
By Atma Weapon
Product Description:

This game comes in a normal box with a small box of cards, basic "quick" instructions, detailed instructions, two dry erase boards, two small dry erase markers, two pads of paper, and six small pencils. If you wanted to use your own supplies, you probably could. The concept of the game is rather simple so I don't know why there are two sets of instructions. There is also a small discrepancy between the two sets of instructions regarding the scoring of the bluffing players that could lead to some confusion. I think the box could have been designed to make more efficient use of space since there really shouldn't be too much to the game besides the cards.

I don't know if this is my favorite game but it combines word association and bluffing which are both mechanics that I enjoy. I think my problem with games like this is that depending on who you play with it might be too easy. I think some people are better are psychological games than others (or maybe it's just that people are bad at bluffing and some games rely more heavily on the bluffing aspect). In any case it could conceivably work in a party setting or if people have been drinking or just having lots of fun and not taking it too seriously. I think it's also worth a look because it's a fraction of the price of other party games and it has supplies you can cannibalize for other games (e.g. the pencils).

5Awesome group game!Nov 23, 2011

We played Linq at a friend's house and had to buy it! Received it promptly and have played several times with friends and family. It's a great game - deep enough to keep players interested, but simple enough to allow new comers to pick it up quickly. Has many similarities to poker - partial information, bluffing, simple rules, potentially complex strategy, and lots of fun.

5Fun Game!Oct 31, 2011

This is quite a fun game. It's great for either family game night or as a party game with friends! The only problem I have encountered is if you play with friends who tend to connect too well. There are some people out there that seem to just know what the other is thinking. A couple of my friends are like that and for some games one has to cover their ears when the other goes otherwise no one has a shot! Linq is good since you never know who the connected people are so it adds another element.

2missing linq?Nov 08, 2009

This game sounds good in description, but is difficult to play. There are so many cards and if one gets lost, some where in the deck, you have to sort through them. Too high of maintenence for my liking, and haven't really played the game at all.
