Cute idea, but not much to it...Feb 24, 2007

This is the "modern" paper doll, using magnets instead of paper. The dolls are actually printed metal boxes with Cinderella and her Prince on each side. I like the idea of a reusable item, but instead of just focusing on outfits, shoes, and such there are lot of tiny, easily lost accessories like the mice, Lucifer the cat, etc. I'm constantly finding these small pieces and I don't know how many I haven't found.

Nice, could be betterJul 21, 2007
By DJ Joe Sixpack The concept of this toy is cool: it's a small, thin ferrous metal tin about the size of a cigarette box with a picture of Disney's Cinderella printed on the front, and her Prince shown on the back. Inside are a few changes of clothes for Cinderella (and only one jacket for the Prince) printed on thin, die-cut magnetic strips. It's a modern version of old-fashioned paper dolls, except that the clothes stay on better, and they fit tidily into the tin when playtime is done. Because the two characters are printed on separate parts of the tin, they can interact with each other, and because the case is so thin (about a quarter inch thick, total) they can also be played with on a variety of surfaces.
The main downside is in the poor quality of the magnetic strips... Like many similar toys, the magnetic charge is weak and the pieces may wind up getting lost. Likewise, the paper they're attached to is pretty flimsy, so if any bending occurs, the pictures get rumpled and discolored, and the paper fronts may detach more easily than you'd like, particularly if the pieces get wet. If these parts were just a little more durable, this could be a great toy.

Daughter Loves ItJun 26, 2009
By Melody Lumpkin I bought this for my three year old daughter three days ago and she has played with it non-stop. She has a very active imagination and this toy allows her to recreate a story without too many restrictions. Yes, the pieces are small and fairly easy to lose. The paper on the magnets is already showing wear (although that is partly due to Cinderella "scrubbing" the floor). It's great for in the car or as a restaurant toy, although one does have to be diligent to keep up with the small pieces.
DisappointedJul 14, 2011
By Llam I thought this product would be larger. The pieces were small & difficult for my granddaughters, ages 4 and 6 to handle.
My grandchildren all love these sets!Dec 15, 2008

I picked up a few of these at a bookstore while on vacation in Utah. I only purchased 2 of them. That was a mistake as I should have gotten more. My grandchildren love them. These are the first things they get out to play with when they come over. These are great for both boys and girls. We have 3 granddaughters aged 3-5 and 1 grandson who is also 3, then there is the little boy next door who is 2. They all love these. Yes, there are small parts so adult supervision is required depending on age, but they play with these for hours. They put them back in the tins when finished playing with them and put them up until the next time. I am picking up a few more this year for gifts.
