Easy for a 2 yr. oldNov 30, 2010

I bought this for my 2 yr. old for Christmas last year and he has enjoyed it. It is sturdy and fun. We like to make the animal noises before putting the animal in. I like that there are no small pieces so it has been easy to keep together. We have almost had this a year and it is still like new.

My two year old can put this puzzle together and feel very proud of himself. It was a gift from his great-grandmother so him playing with it makes her feel like she got a great buy!

This puzzle has five large pieces with cut-outs where each animal goes and the sun also pops out. My daughter is 27 months and I usually put the main puzzle together and let her try to place the animals and the sun, with the sounds providing hints as to where they go. This is the only floor puzzle I have seen (so I can't confirm that the pieces are thicker than other floor puzzles) but the pieces are fairly sturdy. When she is in the mood it's a fun activity as she loves the animal shapes. I think as she becomes more proficient at putting the puzzle together she'll get more out of it - she may still be a little young for it.
For the price I think it was a good buy.

"best daddy in the world"
This product definatly lives up to the Melissa and Doug standards that i love. My 2yr old fell in loved with the puzzle she would not stop taking it apart and putting it back together. A definate buy!
