1Spend $5 more and get a Syma S107Feb 01, 2011

Someone bought one of these for my son's birthday at a kiosk in a mall. If you've never used a rc helicopter before it's a bit of a kick for the first few minutes. However, its limitations quickly become apparent. It's basically impossible to steer. It's easy to make it move up and down, but other than that, it goes its own way which is rather annoying. Another thing that would have been nice (and is included with the Syma) is a method of charging the helicopter other than from the batteries in the control unit. Our first Mini Cobra helicopter lasted just one day. After that it wouldn't take a charge. The guy who sold the first copter wouldn't give a cash refund, but would only replace it. I was hoping that it would be possible to control its flight, but I have the same problem with the second one.

I haven't gotten a Syma S107, but from the reviews I've seen, your money is better spent on that one.
