| | | Description: | | Crocodiles are scaly reptiles known for their toothy grin and great strength. Waiting for their prey, crocodiles creep around in muddy water and then jump out to catch their next meal. Crocodiles generally eat fish, mammals or birds. After they eat their meal, crocodiles may swallow some rocks to help them digest their food. Their tail helps them move fast both in the water and on land. Some are considered the largest reptiles in the world, as crocodiles can be as long as twenty three feet! Others are only six feet long as adults. They can live for as long as one hundred years too. Although they pose a threat to humans, humans threaten crocodiles as well. Crocodiles are hunted for their skin which can be made into wallets, shoes and handbags. In some countries, crocodile meat is considered a delicacy. | | | Features: | |

Review dictated by my five-year-old sonDec 02, 2008
This is one of the best armored toys I have that can live on land and in the water. This toy's mouth is open, which I like. If this toy did not have its mouth open, its teeth would have interlocked. This crocodile is similar to prehistoric crocodiles such as deinosuchus, which I specially use for my games.

Well made, detailedNov 28, 2010
By Ishir Bhan This toy is very simple: it's a relatively realistic, but small, crocodile. If your child likes playing with animals and likes crocodiles, this will fit the bill. I wouldn't recommend it for very small children, as the Schleish series of toys can have some sharp edges, but barring that, it's worth it. It's extremely durable and is likely to take any abuse your child can dish out.

Big, lifelike and hungry!May 29, 2010
By J. F. Tiscareno My son loves to feed this guy some of his raisins, his mouth is open just wide enough for it, though he can't be made to chew because of the material, it still looks both cool and cute.
As is expected, the attention to detail is excellent. You can't go wrong with Schleich... if you're willing to pay the price!
Schleich Crocodile-- solidly built & super detailedMay 21, 2012
By sassymom Schleich toys are all so well made and durable. This crocodile is no exception-- it is incredibly detailed and beautifully made.
The figure is sized perfectly for little toddler hands and the quality is superb. My little one has been playing with this for weeks and not a single scratch. There are so many great details on this-- very helpful in guiding children in disussions about animals and the different parts to identify (ears, eyes, nose, etc. are all detailed).
Also-- the Schleich animals all stand solidly. No wobbles so little ones can play without frustration. Fantastic, educational, and very fun toy!
fascinating!Apr 18, 2012
By Jayci I accidentally ordered 2 of these and it has worked out perfectly because both my son and daughter (ages 2.5 yrs and 1 yr) are crazy about them. If my son isn't holding both, then my daughter is looking for them. They are lifelike, durable, and fun for the imagination. The mouth is open with teeth to pretend they can 'bite' but really the teeth are just dull, so can't to real damage to furniture or fingers. We love our two.
