The Run For The Roses In One Of Two VersionsApr 19, 2007

Churchill Downs and Ty Beanie Babies has made for a nice team over the past several years with items of interest to general collectors and Thoroughbred racing fans.
This Official Derby 133 Beanie is the mass market version, which has the official race logo on both sides of the saddle cloth. The limited edition Churchill Downs version has the event logo on one side of the saddle cloth and the Churchilll Downs logo on the other side.
Like the inside of the hang tag for the Derby 132 Beanie, a poem is included in the Derby 133 Beanie's hang tag that celebrates the splendor of the race: "Thoroughbreds at the starting gate, With bated breath the crowd will wait, The Run for the Roses will soon begin, Just can't wait to see who'll win!"
The Beanies are of the typical high quality synonymous with the Ty moniker and they finish in a dead-heat when it comes to that desirable post position for displaying in a home.

I am so glad that Beanie babies are finnally making horses that actually stand up!!! Being a big Horse racing fan,this little guy is perfect. I have last years,to,so I hope they keep this up
