In this era of sports when the superstar of the moment is lucky to last a single news cycle, the legacy of 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat seems to loom larger than ever.
And I guess it was just a matter of time that Big Red would have his own Ty Beanie Baby, since there are any number of official hats, shirts, mugs, prints. posters, photographs and other items to honor arguably the greatest Thoroughbred ever.
The detail on the Beanie is very impressive, as it stands on legs that show Secretariat's distinctive three white stockings. The famous blue and white blinkers that represents the silks of Meadow Stable is well detailed.
The Beanie sports the 1A Kentucky Derby saddlecloth that was worn in the record-setting run and has an attached swing tag that includes a brief history, birthdate, and official Kentucky Derby licensed product hologram.

My daughter loves this horse, she watched the movie secretariat while holding the horse. It is very authentic looking and durable. She learned alot about the horse because of this toy it brought out different learning conversations about horses.
