Well Peter-Sam is in Seasons 4-7, 9-11, of Thomas and Friends. Really he is a good choice for anyone who has purchased some of the older Season four Dvds when Peter-Sam is in his prime, if you haven't that is fun but unless your child specifically wants Peter-Sam i recommend you hold off, he is after all a rather minor character.
For those of you who have children who are huge fans...Peter-Sam is a good idea. His dark green paint is very attractive and the details are phenomenal. I also am impressed with the lack of plastic and that Peter-Sam is mainly wood. In general Peter-Sam is a great addition to the railway, but like all of these trains he is expensive, so try to get him on sale, or here get him with a video or another train.

My son really enjoyed Peter Sam from some of his videos. He was thrilled when we got him this character to add to his set. Peter Sam is very well made (as are most of the Thomas Wooden trains) and still remains one of my son's favorite engines.
