Description:

In the charred, desolate Wyrmbog, deep in Dustwallow Marsh, lies the lair of the black dragon Onyxia. Many bands of heroes have journeyed there, only to fall under the dragon’s claw. Now take on the role of Onyxia and face the latest group of heroes brave enough to challenge the Black Dragonflight. It’s time to put some foolish mortals in their place! Onyxia Lair Raid Decks open up a whole new facet to the World of Warcraft® Trading Card Game (TCG). One player takes on the role of an epic foe that only multiple heroes working together can even hope to challenge. Each Onyxia raid deck includes 110 Onyxia Game Cards plus one 10-card ''Treasure Pack'' and three oversized Onyxia raid boss cards. 5WoW Card deckJan 30, 2010
I bought this for the art work. Just using this as a reminder of the actual World of Warcraft MMORPG.

Pretty interesting twist for card game. Fun cooperative play for everyone trying to take on the Onyxia player. Lot's of fun for the Onyxia player too.

If you play WOW TCG then I'd recommend picking one of these up.

I used to play Magic in the old school days. Stopped playing cause the card quality dropped and it became too commercial.

I bought a few packs for the in game loot, but found the game and cards themselves to be quite fun. My group can't defeat Onyxia yet, either we need to rethink our decks or stop playing her so well :P

Very fun entertaining.

5Onyxia's Lair Raid DeckMar 18, 2007
This deck is extremely creative the way it has been set up. I don't know who could have thought of this whole game, but its pretty amazing. I found the art work of the cards and the game itself both wonderful. I've had troubles finding this deck in stores, but I've found it and I was happy when I first opened it. Its a great addition to the game and if you have freinds who also have the cards, I suggest getting this and playing along side with them in the battle.

5You will not be disappointed!!Feb 07, 2007
I have played many different CCG from Magic to Vampire to Warcry and others. As a big fan of Blizzard games, Diablo, Warcraft and of course WOW, I was looking forward to trying out the Heroes of Azeroth CCG. I was not disappointed. The game is easy to learn, and fun to boot! I was given the Onyxia raid deck for Christmas, but didn't have any of the other cards yet. Since then, I have purchased and played with the hero decks and cards. The most fun by far was the first time we tried out the raid deck against 5 hero decks. It was very close but Onyxia won out in the end! Everyone had fun and commented on how challenging the raid deck was to play against and not just a walk in the park.

The artwork is quite varied with some totally awesome cards and others more run of the mill. Too bad Penny Arcade didn't make more of the artwork. The rules did have a few gaps and will I am sure have clarifications made in future editions. For a first pass though, they are good overall. All of the cards relate to in game items, quests, characters and abilities. That alone makes it appealing to WoW fans. The Onyxia raid deck comes with a pack of rare treasure cards usable by heroes, that alone makes it worth buying more than one raid deck. If you like WoW and CCG, you will like this game and definitely the Onyxia raid deck. I am looking forward to the Ragnaros raid deck later this year!
